Bible Verse of the Day, Friday 21st February 2025
Hebrews 9:27-28 (NIV) “Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.”
Opening Prayer:
Heavenly Father, We come before You with humble hearts, seeking wisdom and understanding as we read Your Word. Open our minds to comprehend Your truths and soften our hearts to receive Your message. Guide us by Your Holy Spirit, that we may learn, grow, and draw closer to You. May this time in Your Word strengthen our faith and inspire us to live according to Your will.
In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
Message: These verses remind us of two profound truths: the reality of death and judgment, and the hope of salvation through Jesus Christ. Every human being is appointed to die once, followed by judgment. This underscores the importance of living a life accountable to God. However, the good news is that Christ’s sacrifice was sufficient to cleanse us from sin, and He will return to bring salvation to those who are eagerly waiting for Him. This is a call to live in anticipation of His return, rooted in faith and hope.
